Who is responsible for your data
Loveology AI is operated by Michael D Furnace LLC (New Mexico, United States), which is responsible for the personal information described here.
What we store
Your email address and sign-in details; your onboarding answers, assessment responses, generated scores and Love DNA report; journal entries, check-ins, practices and coach conversations; partner and practitioner sharing settings; and your subscription status. This data is stored in our database, hosted by Supabase, and linked to your account. A copy may also be kept in your browser so the app works offline.
Payments
Payments are processed by Square. Your card details go directly to Square and are never stored by us. We receive and keep your subscription status, plan, billing dates and Square customer and subscription IDs.
The AI coach
When you message the coach, your messages and a short summary of your profile (for example, your archetype and recent check-in themes) are sent to our AI provider (currently OpenAI) through its API to generate a reply. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models by default. Messages that suggest someone may be in danger are answered with safety guidance and are not sent to the AI provider.
Who can see your data
Only you, unless you choose to share. A partner sees only what you both consent to share in a partner connection. An approved practitioner sees only the report or check-ins you share with them. You can withdraw sharing at any time in Settings, and it stops immediately. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
Service providers
We rely on Supabase (database and sign-in), Netlify (website hosting), Square (payments) and OpenAI (AI coach). They process data only to provide their service to us.
Consent
AI analysis, partner comparison and handling of sensitive relationship data are separate consents. You can withdraw any of them in Settings.
Analytics
We record privacy-safe product events (for example, “assessment_started”) to improve the service. Journal text, free-text reflections and intimacy answers are never included in analytics events.
Sensitive topics
Questions about intimacy, family of origin and past relationships are optional and clearly marked. Skipping them only reduces confidence in that section.
Export and deletion
Settings includes a data export and an account deletion option. Deleting your account cancels any active subscription and permanently deletes your account and the data linked to it from our database. Square keeps its own payment records as required by law.
Retention and security
We keep your data while your account is open and delete it when you delete your account. Data is encrypted in transit, and database access is restricted so each account can only read its own records.
Age
Loveology is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change how we handle your data in a material way, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
